For Father’s Day I gave my Dad the gift of baked items (i.e. love on a budget). I used the peach pie recipe from one of my favorite blogs Smitten Kitchen (Smitten Kitchen Peach Pie). It was wonderful! Although I was admittedly lazy and did not slice the peaches as thin as I should have, hence the peach outlined growths in the image above, but was still tasty! In fact a large portion of filling didn’t even make it into the pie… because I ate it. The strawberry tarts where an impromptu experiment I found on All Recipes (All Recipe’s Mini Tarts) and were pretty delicious as well.
